World Regenerative Tourism Day, observed every 23 May, is a global initiative calling on tourism to move from minimizing damage to creating measurable legacy. It invites hotels, destinations, institutions, NGOs, universities and communities to sign a free Global Manifesto of ten commitments and to document at least one real action each year.
The initiative was founded by Prof. Héctor de Castro and established as a global initiative of Regenera Luxury LLC. It is not a certification and not an official observance of the United Nations.
